any port in a storm

Part of the fun of traveling with irene to boston was going out and about, but a significant portion ended up being ad-hoc sleeping situations i'd "craft" for her after she'd eat or if she got super cranky.
At this point, irene was still very swaddle-able, so all i needed to do was wrap her up, rock her a bit, and then down she'd go.
critical to most of these was a portable speaker that played white noise for her. Then i'd set her on top of a soft blanket or something i had stashed in her diaper bag.
sometimes i'd set her in the hallway where it was a bit dimmer, so that she'd have a longer sleep.
after the phd hooding ceremory at mit, i was invited to a course 1 lunch, so i multitasked a bit by setting her down on the table while i ate.
i think it worked out pretty well, overall.
